The Toronto Pet Au Pair is owned and operated by LC Martin. LC grew up in a home full of unique animals. She was taught from an early age to love and respect all of life’s most vulnerable creatures. She has over six years experience working in Veterinary Hospitals and is in her tenth year running The Toronto Pet Au Pair. She also works as a Professional Pet Photographer for several pet product brands and loves taking pet portraits for her clients.

Aside from growing up with animals of her own, LC spent two years working with rabbits, ferrets, birds, and other pocket pets at the Links Road Bird & Animal Clinic in Toronto. Here she spent her time learning from the smallest patients and taking care of the many exotics boarding in the clinic. From there she moved on to an Emergency Animal Hospital working predominately with cats and dogs in need of urgent care. The training she received from consistently dealing with medical emergencies shaped her life and how she would care for animals in the future. During this time LC also graduated with a Fine Arts Degree, majoring in Photography Studies from TMU.

LC began to take care of all the animals she came in contact with through the hospital who needed extra care beyond their hospital stay. These were animals who needed extra medical or rehabilitative care. She loved helping these animals heal and so The Toronto Pet Au Pair was born! LC has always been committed to maintaining relationships with all the wonderful pets and their human best friends who come into her life. She has continuously used both her skillsets in Animal Care and Photography to live her dream job as The Toronto Pet Au Pair. Recently she relocated to Lakeview Mississauga and is taking on new clients there. While those she trusts the most continue to take care of pets in the east end of Toronto.
